Water: Wrong place, wrong time (magic show)

Water is essential for life, and it takes a huge amount of water to produce the food we eat. We need 17,000 litres of water just to produce one kilogram of chocolate! But with climate change, many places around the world are getting too much or too little water, experiencing floods, droughts and food shortages. This show uses magic to explore these issues and some of the steps we can take to tackle them.

Dr Pamela Styles trains postgraduate researchers in teaching, presenting and public engagement at Swansea University, and volunteers for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) and Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), engaging children with nature and conservation issues. Pamela is also a Lecturer in Environmental Awareness for The College, Swansea University. As well as magic shows, she gives talks and demonstrations about simple, natural living, including growing your own ingredients to make homemade body care products.
